After recent events of video footage showing slave auctions and the imprisonment of refugees being enslaved in Libya, the ‘African Lives Matter’ community along with other organisations partnered up to protest. Slogans ‘Shame on Libya’, ‘No more Slavery’ and ‘No Justice, No Peace’ were chanted frequently by protesters holding signs and banners. A UK Parliament petition has gained more than 200,000 signatures to ‘put pressure on Libya to stop enslavement of Black Africans’.

 Close up of Thailand. The original image photographed is a shot of ‘Chalong Temple’ situated in Phuket, ‘Wat Chalong’. There is strict dress code when entering the temple, including no shoes. Women are not permitted to wear revealing clothing. Sarong's are provided if needed. On top of this image are two sea-shells collected from Thailand beaches, a card insert from a key ring souvenir and a necklace pendant purchased from the Mueang Phuket District. |
