About 

Aaliyah Harris is a multimedia journalist based in London, who often travels between Bristol and Exeter.

 

She works as an Assistant Producer for Sky News across the newsroom working with digital, TV output, radio and podcast teams. 

 

Prior to this she worked as an Assistant Audience Editor for The I Paper. Previously, having worked for the FT Weekend Magazine carrying out duties such as fact-checking, subbing articles and managing the Twitter account. Aaliyah has experience working with CNN International across features, video and TV and worked as a journalist for The Canary producing content across all topics.

Aaliyah graduated from a Journalism with Study Abroad degree at City, University of London in 2020 and spent a year at Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson University) in Toronto, Canada. 

She always wanted a career in an original field that would allow her to connect with different kinds of people, learn a range of skills and create impacting work.

Her work tends to involve reporting on news and current affairs, fashion & lifestyle, music & entertainment and arts & culture. Her specialisms include newsletter and video production alongside feature writing where she regularly works on under-reported stories that highlight underrepresented communities.

She makes 'AH TALKS' radio podcasts, produces produces TV news packages, YouTube travel vlogs and often creates social media content for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. 

In 2016-2017, she produced two issues of her own magazine 'YC', (Youth Culture) which can be viewed on the website tab. 

Aaliyah is always keen to collaborate with other creatives so feel free to send over an email with project ideas.
