For this week I reviewed the new hair gel by, Eco Style. I've heard positive and negative comments about this big brand but I really wanted to try it out for myself. When scouting for a new gel I looked for one special ingredient. Besides Black Castor Oil (which is my favourite oil for hair growth) and Olive Oil, this gel contains Cannabis Sativa Oil. I have never tried a hemp infused hair care product so I went for the small 8floz tub at around £3-4.

The benefits listed include, it's for all hair types, it moisturises, nourishes, protects, adds body, promotes hair growth, shines, is alcohol free and flake free. Prior to buying it, all I knew about CBD is that it can help with hair growth and improve hair health and quality by strengthening and softening. I tend to mainly use gel for my baby hairs and for smoothing my scalp when wearing up do styles.

The gel is clear but has a glittery effect which I think looks really nice and the smell surprisingly doesn't smell of weed! It does however, have a really appealing earthy scent, its different, unique and I feel its not too overpowering. It's weightless but it has a strong hold on hair. When it dries it gives a great shine and my hair is softer and in better condition after using the product.

The only negative I have, which I haven't experienced with other gels (mainly Shea butter based) is that sometimes when it dries on my baby hairs it crusts a little and can look flaky. But this rarely happens. I think its a good product and as I don't use too much when applying the size and price is great value for me. I will be adding Cannabis Oil to my list of great hair care ingredients!
