As a part of the New Year, I decided that I wanted to take a trip down memory lane to expose something embarrassing but fun... which if you're interested in beauty you will have experienced at some point. SO get ready to laugh and look back at the monstrosity of my ever changing brows from 2010 to present day! 2010:
This little gem of a photo was taken in Nandos back in my year 7 days... also note that classic peace sign!
So lets take a look at what seems to be the length of the river Nile in between my brows aka two fat slugs.
Without trying to defend myself this is the work of my mum, who used to pluck my eyebrows... a qualified beautician at the time.
In 2010 I thought they were amazing, simple and cute. Although I'm not 100% sure on this but I used to request this particular shape. Now I see that my idea of good brows was a mess.
On a more positive note, my natural colour hair, unnaturally straightened looks amaze. R.I.P to that healthy silky shine now. 💔

2011:
For my 13th birthday my dad surprised me and flew me out to Malaga in Spain. It was great walking into my school tutor after my return as I said I was 'sick' for a week. 😎
Quick selfie in the hotel. Brows are looking gappy but a little thinner and longer, praise the lord for some length up in here.
At this age I didn't really care about the whole shape of my brows thing, it was more about not having a mono thing. A mono-brow was about the worse thing possible that I thought I could have. I died my hair a cherry red and it was the beginning of many more colours to come.

2012:
This moment was a 'dress up in outfits and take photos for Facebook' kind of thing... which at the time really was a thing lol ft. one of my lonngeessttt known friends.
Repping some leopard print hot pants and a denim shirt (both not mine), I thought that I looked like Amy Winehouse. The hair was in this big bouffant bun that was freshly dyed black. 💃🏽
I started wearing more makeup besides just face powder and mascara. I upped my game using brow liner. I was really into Asian makeup and I loved their rounded, elongated brows, which is what I was attempting to do here.

2013:
On a year 10 school trip to London this selfie was taken in Trafalgar Square.
DUN DUN DUN!!! The gap is back again WOOP WHY WON'T I LEAVE THE POOR THINGS TO GROW.
But this time we can see some extremely malnourished brows with a happy curve. The thinner the better, I thought.
My hair alternated to a ginger/red/orange ombre where I used to like straightening the under layer for length.
I still own this top and earrings, big gold hoops are my love... somethings never change.🤷🏽♀️

2014:
YEAR 11 PROM. Sticking to the rounded, thin brows here is me at 15/16 years old.
My hair was straightened and curled. I have to say the brows are looking better than before. Sharp and neat (at least) and hallelujah the gap has been bridged!!!
I focused more on shape here, giving myself an arch and some sense of direction flow.
P.S - Throughout experimenting with brow liner, I had so many people ask me how to do theirs and that mine were amazing... not the fake asks too, not ok.

2015:
The symmetric stage. By now I had learned how to use makeup a little better and my brows were looking even and sharp.
Still looking quite painted on, I feel ok about these ones because at least they match each other!
I moved onto gel based products like Anastasia Brow gel and used different product liners to fill in the areas I wanted to be a bit darker.
I went back to my red ways but this time went a 'Rihanna red' WHICH BTW I did before she did and I will never forget how much I empahsised this to everyone at the time. 💋

2016:
The thick brow movement. 💁🏽♀️
In this year the hype changed from having ultra slim eyebrows to thick and natural ones.
I followed the trend partly by thickening up my brows - which is something I never thought I'd do - and I moved away from the Asian/Iranian look. Nowadays I think a medium between the thick and thing suits me best.
Highlighting around my brows also became a necessity after I got my hands on Estée Lauder brow pen. It was a double ended liner with a highlighter on the end which I was obsessed with.

2017:
These brows look like my 2016 ones but I started to thicken them more.
Here they look quite harsh and I wasn't looking for a natural brow (which I never really did to be honest)
Filling in the majority of my brows but working with a lighter technique on towards the eye was my goal.
The length I though was just about right but as natural brows grew they kind of grew on me too FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER so leading to my 2018 brows.... 🙆🏽♀️

2018:
Here are my up to date brows!!! They might not be perfect but they have come a long way. I feel happy about this style and I think I'll be sticking to these, fingers crossed for at least at while.
I still love my filled in look but I am much more lighter on the inner parts of my brows. In this look I have used Rimmel and Anastasia Brow gel.
I sometimes switch it up using brow powder instead of liner to cut down on the harshness but overall a lined brow is my kind of brow!
AND My hair needs a re-dye don't watch that.
