Dalston is a hot spot for its hip, chic and trendy a-ray of quirky bars and lively food establishments.


The Moustache Bar is one of the final venues along the Dalston strip located five minutes from Dalston Kingsland Station. The basement bar hosts live performances, club nights, private parties and is open to all kinds of music genres. Dalston’s music scene is diverse and alike no other. In East London there is a bar for everyone and if you haven’t stopped by, you’re missing out!

1. The Cauldron

Grab your broomstick and fly into a magical world of wizardry and witchcraft. You’ll be sure to experience a night full of laughter and unforgettable enchantment. On arrival your wand will guide you towards mythical creatures drawn straight from a fairy tale. Cast a spell, put on your robe and get ready to live as a sorcerer as you whip up powerful, alcoholic concoctions made from potion recipes. 2. Junction House

If you’ve ever wanted to skank your way on the dancefloor in a real underground, basement style venue then this is the joint for you. Dalston’s famous Junction House brings back to back rhythms of classic Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Bashment, Grime, Soca and Trap anthems. Special headliners and live performances are frequent, and the mood is always buzzing.

3. Viva Dalston!

In the heart of Hackney lies a homely Mexican-Latin American tapas and cocktail bar. It offers a hearty cuisine with dishes from Mexico and Brazil with many of their ingredients sourced locally. Their beautifully lit garden area showcases spectacular and vibrant art. It’s authentic, friendly and is the place to go for a candle lit catch up with friends. 4. The Jago

It’s more than just a bar, it’s a creative hub founded by the Meráki community. The space holds events for all types of live music, gigs, workshops, comedy acts, dance classes and provides networking opportunities. Their platform for evolving talent is aimed at London’s diverse crowd and they work together with the neighbourhood and various charities to provide the social hangout. It’s chance to mingle and meet new people.

5. Dalston Superstore

A party scene you won’t forget! This LGBT space is fun, edgy and welcoming to everyone. Its wacky and wonderful interior is distinct with a Tetris coloured décor. Entertainment includes a full bar, café, drag brunch, art gallery, performance space, live music and guest DJ’s. The music is always a bop. Groove to Disco melodies or get down to some electro and pop. Eat, drink and dance. Occasionally there are student deals with a discounted price on drinks and art exhibition tickets.
